IIEMS required a modern, technology‑driven solution to simulate real‑world cardiac arrest and defibrillation scenarios for medical training purposes.
Synthesis Simulation Technologies Private Limited is a premier Emergency Medicine, Trauma Care, Emergency Medical Services, and Disaster Management training organization headquartered in Kerala, India. With over a decade of experience, the institution has trained more than 400,000 healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and first responders across the Indian subcontinent, supported by expert consultants and instructors from the USA, Europe, and India.
To enhance postgraduate and advanced emergency medical training programs, Synthesis Simulation Technologies required a Defibrillator Machine Training System capable of simulating real-life defibrillator usage and cardiac emergency scenarios. The objective was to deliver an interactive, technology-driven training solution that provides trainers with full control and trainees with accurate, real-time visual feedback.
Based on the approved scope, Citymapia designed and developed a mobile-application-based Defibrillator Training System consisting of a Defibrillator Input System (DIS) and a Defibrillator Display System (DDS), enabling realistic, repeatable, and scalable emergency simulation training.

Traditional defibrillator and CPR training methods posed several limitations:
Synthesis Simulation Technologies required a flexible, interactive, and reliable digital training system that could accurately replicate real-world defibrillator behavior while remaining simple to operate within classroom and simulation environments.

To design and develop a mobile-application-based Defibrillator Training System consisting of two integrated applications — a Defibrillator Input System (DIS) and a Defibrillator Display System (DDS) — enabling realistic, repeatable, and scalable emergency simulation training for healthcare professionals.

Citymapia delivered a Defibrillator Machine Training System consisting of two integrated mobile applications — the Defibrillator Input System (DIS) and the Defibrillator Display System (DDS) — working together in real time through a hotspot-based communication mechanism. A Defibrillator Keyboard Replica serves as the trainer's input device, which connects the DIS and DDS via hotspot, transmitting all inputs in real time as graphs, values, messages, and images.
This architecture enables continuous interaction between trainer inputs, user actions, and display feedback — creating a realistic emergency simulation environment. The DIS gives trainers full control over 20+ cardiac rhythms, patient vitals, and AED modes, while the DDS provides trainees with accurate, real-time visual feedback throughout training sessions.
A technology-driven transformation of emergency medical training — delivering a reliable, interactive, and scalable defibrillator simulation platform that enhances learning accuracy and preparedness, developed and delivered by Citymapia.
