Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS)
Posted on 07 Oct 2021AMLS Course is NAEMTs Advanced Medical Life Support course which is the first EMS education program that fully addresses how to best assess and manage the most common medical crisis in Patients, offering a “think out of the box” methodology. The course emphasizes the use of scene size-up and history.
This Trauma Care Training Course encourages interactive group discussions on potential treatment strategies and physical exams to rule out and consider possibilities and probabilities in treating patient’s medical crisis. The course available in Kerala- Kochi, Kottayam & Trivandrum offers an initial assessment-based approach that progresses to a diagnostic-based approach to quickly develop the best treatment plan.
AMLS is endorsed by the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP). It is accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating.
Course Contents
The course progresses through interactive/ case based lectures including topics along with teaching stations:
- Altered mental status and neurologic disorders
- Respiratory dysfunction
- Shock
- Chest discomfort
- Endocrine disorders
- Metabolic and environmental disorders
- Abdominal discomfort
- Infectious diseases
- Toxicological emergencies
- Hazardous materials and weapons of mass destruction
