Posted on 03 Jul 2024The Department of Commerce at Kuriakose Gregorios College, established in 1981, has grown into a prestigious center for commerce education, offering a B.Com Degree Programme since 1995 and an M.Com Degree Programme since 1998, making it the college's first Postgraduate Department. Recognized as a Research Centre by Mahatma Gandhi University, the department has successfully guided 31 PhD scholars with 15 more in progress, under the supervision of four approved research guides. Known for its robust research culture, the department has completed significant research projects and boasts numerous publications in internationally acclaimed journals. With a well-stocked library of over 3000 books and high-quality research journals, the department supports academic excellence and consistent student success in university examinations. The vibrant Commerce Association hosts notable events like the annual "Commerce Colloquy" and "Junior Colloquy," and fosters research through national competitions, all while emphasizing values and ethics to develop well-rounded, successful professionals.
