About Thottackad Temple

Thottackad Sree Sankaranarayana Swamy Temple is one of the oldest and famous temples in Kottayam disctrict, under pakkil sub division of Travancore Devaswom Board. Temple is located at just 500 meter south of Thottackad ( Thottakad ) junction which is around 16 km from Kottayam towards Karukachal or Mallappally route. There are plenty of buses (both private and transport) available from Kottayam town.

The main prathishta is shivan with the presence of mahavishnu. Other upadavathas are Devi, Ayyappan, Ganapathy, bhadrakali and Sarppam. 10 days annual festival is celebrate with Sivarathri.
