The Basic Safety Training (BST) modules are designed to equip participants with essential safety skills required in the wind turbine industry through a combination of theoretical and practical training. The First Aid module focuses on identifying life-threatening conditions and providing safe and effective first aid to stabilize casualties until professional medical help is available. The Manual Handling module aims to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries by training wind technicians to perform tasks with minimal strain. This module encourages knowledge-sharing between experienced and new participants. The Fire Awareness module educates participants on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and handling emergency situations. It enables them to assess fire hazards, ensure personnel safety, and, if possible, extinguish initial fires using basic firefighting equipment. The Working at Heights module trains participants to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform basic rescue operations in a remote wind turbine environment. Lastly, the Sea Survival module prepares participants for offshore operations, emphasizing safety measures, emergency response, and compliance with industry standards. This training ensures preparedness for both routine tasks and emergencies in offshore wind environments.
