About MUTTUKADU BACKWATERS

Muttukadu, is located at a distance of 36 km from Chennai. There is a boat-house at this site which has been constructed by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC). It is a beautiful picnic spot and offering different watersports like rowing, wind surfing, water skiing, and speedboat riding.

A small handicraft village called Dakshinchitra situated nearby Muttukadu, It is structured in the traditional architectural style of 19th century and famous for its ceramics, glass items and sculptures.
