Google removed Paytm from Playstore on Rules Infringements
Posted On Sep 25, 2020Google takes down payments behemoth Paytm from Play Store on Friday, following the reason that Paytm app allowed customers to play online games, with the accusation of sports betting.
For the first time, Paytm is removed from the Google Play Store from its main application, although the wealth management application, Paytm money, merchant application, Paytm for Business, film ticketing application, and Paytm Insider are on the Play Store. "We've got the same goals for our gambling policy," Google said. We do not allow casinos online or support any unregulated gambling apps that make sports betting easier. This involves a violation of our policies if an app leads consumers to an external website that enables them to participate in paid tournaments to win real money or cash prizes. Google stated that these are the policies that they adopt to ensure that risk threats are addressed to users. "When an app breaches these policies, we notify the developer of the breach and remove the app from Google Play until the developer complies with the app," Google India said. And we can take more serious action in the event that there are repeated policy violations, which may include terminating Google Play Developer accounts. Our policies on all developers are consistently applied and enforced.
