Inaugurated by Mr. Stephen George (MLA) on June 10, 2002, EIRS commenced its educational journey on June 12, 2002, with an initial enrollment of 200 students for the academic year 2002-2003. The school follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum, aiming to achieve the highest standards of academic excellence. Equally, it emphasizes non-academic subjects such as music, dance, and creative projects, ensuring a holistic educational experience.
The faculty at EIRS is a team of highly trained, experienced, and efficient educators selected from top institutions across the country. Many of the faculty members reside on campus, providing students with the unique advantage of access to guidance and consultation beyond regular class hours. With class sizes capped at 25 students, the school maintains an impressive teacher-student ratio of 1:10, ensuring personalized attention and quality education for each student. Regular classes run from 9:00 AM to 3:15 PM, after which special tuition periods are arranged to help students manage their homework and reinforce their learning.
