Emergency Medical Technicians (Basic/Advanced/Paramedic)
Posted on 25 Apr 2024The goal of the IIEMS EMT/Paramedic Program is to produce competent, entry-level EMTs and Paramedics to serve in career and volunteer positions in the state of Arkansas. This program(available in IIEMS Kerala- Kochi, Kottayam & Trivandrum) follows the current National EMS Education Standards and complies with the international institute of emergency medical service. In accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) National curriculum, the IIEMS EMT/Paramedic Program’s goal will be accomplished through the following objectives involving the three domains of learning.
At the completion of the Medical Technician Course, the student will:
- Demonstrate the cognitive ability to comprehend, apply, and evaluate the clinical information relative to his/her education as a FIRST RESPONDER/ EMT -B/ AEMT/ Paramedic
- Demonstrate the technical proficiency in all psychomotor skills necessary to fulfill the role as FIRST RESPONDER/ EMT -B/ AEMT/ Paramedic..
Requirements for admission to the EMT- BASIC
- The candidate must be at least 18 years of age
- The candidate must complete 10+2 level of education/equivalent with science as a main subject
- The aspiring candidate must be fluent to read, write and speak English
Requirements for admission to the EMT- ADVANCE
- The candidate must be at least 18 years of age
- The candidates should have EMT Basic Certification with minimum 1 year of experience in the Ambulance /ED in Hospital OR The candidate should hold degree /diploma in health care science (Nursing )
- The aspiring candidate must be fluent to read, write and speak English
Requirements for admission to the PARAMEDIC COURSE
- The candidate must be at least 18 years of age
- The candidates should have EMT Basic, Advance Certification with minimum 1 year of experience in the Ambulance /ED in Hospital or The candidate should hold degree/diploma in health care science (Nursing)
- The aspiring candidate must be fluent to read, write and speak English
